Workchoice Day 2009 - Student Feedback

Thank you once again for supporting Workchoice Day 2009. When conversing with company coordinators after the day we have consistently heard that they believe strongly in employment branding and the importance of remembering it in tough economic times. They also recognise the importance of sharing industry knowledge with students and making them aware of the wide range of opportunities open to them. We are mindful of the significant effort required to coordinate the day. Please feel assured that the majority of students benefit from this exposure to your working environment at a time when they are making far-reaching life decisions. Here is what a few of the students had to say:

“The visit influenced my career decision making by showing me first hand how it is like to work in a professional environment and what the expectations are.”

“Made me aware of my choices and gave me clear knowledge about what I should plan before heading out into the 'real world' after high school.”

“It gave me a broader knowledge about my future careers by exposing what people do and what subjects are needed to be taken.”

"It directed me and made me more interested in my future."

Again, on behalf of the students and the Workchoice team, thank you for your participation and all the effort put into making Workchoice Day a success this year.  The day can only continue to be effective with the ongoing support of organisations like your own. Thank you for registering for next year. We welcome your involvement on Tuesday 18 May 2010 and will be in touch in the near future.

Kind regards,

Kathy McCombe
General Manager
