Great Expectations
On the job hunt and uncertain about what to expect from Frog Recruitment?
The employment market has changed significantly in the recent times and its tenacity and attention to detail, combined with the human touch, which makes a 21st century career agency.
What you should expect is a likeminded individual who shares your enthusiasm about your career. Someone who takes a 'whole person' approach.
Recruitment is about more than just getting you your next job, it's about asking questions that make you think about where you are and whether you still want to be in that kind of role, in that kind of organisation.
Get comfortable with your CareerAgent and work WITH them!
They can't do it all for you – particularly given the volumes of applications that appear in the inbox every day.
Be pro-active and be open to two-way communication and sharing of ideas.
The very least you should expect from Frog Recruitment is:
- complete confidentiality surrounding your application
- courtesy: you should be treated with respect
- an automated response to your initial email response
- a prompt response to any enquiries
- an initial 5-15 minute telephone interview if shortlisted for a vacancy
- honest advice on redirection if necessary
- time and date for an interview if shortlisted for a vacancy
N.B. We do not like to waste our candidates time or create unrealistic expectations, so do not tend to bring candidates in to meet with us unless we have a specific opportunity to discuss with you. We recommend that all candidates should keep an eye on our website under the
JOBS tab and apply for any roles which they are both interested in and qualified for. If you have been successfully shortlisted for that role we will then contact you to discuss the opportunity and book you in for a full competency based interview.
If you have successfully been shortlisted for an interview with Frog Recruitment, you should expect:
- An environment of professional ease in a space affording confidentiality
- Time for both parties to elicit the right information - you must never feel that you're being hurried through the process
- Equally you must allow enough time for the interview to occur fully
- A competency base interview format. This will be about the requirements for the position
- It is important you have considered good examples to illustrate your expertise i.e. detailed answers to detailed questions in a positive, realistic manner are expected.
- An explanation of any ‘testing’ to be done, prior to it being done, so that you are 'warmed up'. Sometimes this will be emailed to you to complete at home - we recommend you do so promptly.
- Clear preparation for the interview with potential employer(s) including information on the dynamics of the work environment, job specifications and research suggestions
- Interview Feedback: post interview with our clients you should immediately call your Frog CareerAgent with feedback on your interview impressions and your interest in the role. Your recruiter will then call the employer and provide this as well as seek their feedback. They will then liaise back with you
