About the Role
As Public Relations Specialist, you will report to the Head of Marketing and work closely with senior stakeholders across all states and territories. Your focus will be on crafting integrated external communications strategies, managing media relationships, and delivering impactful campaigns that showcase our expertise and drive market differentiation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute an integrated communications and media strategy aligned with the firm’s vision and growth objectives
- Act as the primary liaison for media interactions, cultivating relationships with journalists and industry influencers
- Provide advice on reputation management and proactive media opportunities
- Partner with practice group leaders to create tailored profiling strategies
- Collaborate with external advisors on sensitive matters and ensure timely, strategic responses
- Monitor media impact and brand perception, leveraging data for insights
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in public relations or communications
- Experience within a law firm or professional services environment is essential
- Comfortable working closely with partners and senior executives, demonstrating confidence and professionalism
- Strong influencing and communication skills with credibility at senior levels
- Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities effectively
- Experience working alongside a PR agency is highly desirable
- Excellent written communication and presentation skills
- Media contacts preferred but not essential; eagerness to build relationships is key
Salary and Benefits
- Competitive salary between $100,000 and $130,000 plus superannuation
