We are looking for a switched on experienced Geospatial specialist to join this government organisation.
You’ll be part of the Planning & Performance team, where they aim to deliver a comprehensive, innovative and insightful capability that brings together location-based data, technology and techniques so their diverse range of customers can unlock value, solve complex problems, make better decisions and share, inform and collaborate with their stakeholders.
Reporting to the Planning Team lead, this is a newly created role where you’ll step into a specialist role that is GIS lead as they want to develop in this space in the planning and performance team.
As an experienced Geospatial specialist, you will have experience in the GIS/IT industry or have exposure to ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS software technologies. You will play a key part in business analysis and well versed in undertaking complex analysis and providing accurate information through the power of location intelligence.
Duties will involve:
· Developing robust analytical capability
· Analyse, assess and monitor trends
· Providing input into medium and long term planning
· Developing and maintaining databases and information systems
· Maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
We are seeking a self-starter with expert knowledge on geospatial technologies, data and techniques who is able to think on their feet, ideally with GIS experience, be able to work with spatial data and have the ability to interpret and communicate complex information in a way that makes it accessible. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Geographic Information System or other business analysis experience is required.
