ICE (Industry Connection for Excellence) is a new kind of training provider that’s collaborating with industry to deliver budding new apprentices! They do things differently with innovative training that meets employers’ expectations and supports apprentices on the pathway to a rewarding career.
Now they are opening a branch in Otaki, which means you could help a new generation move into the plumbing, drainlaying and gas-fitting sector. ICE will provide you with all the training and support you need to succeed, including getting you up to speed on NZQA US4098 and the adult education qualification. You’ll also have a supportive branch manager and other tutors around the country to share stories with.
For you, this is an opportunity to stay in the industry you love, while passing on the valuable skills and knowledge that are second nature to you. Certified (Level 5) in Plumbing, Gasfitting, and ideally drainlaying, you’ll have a strong understanding of the apprenticeship process and qualification. In fact, you’ve probably trained some on-the-job already.
