You are a highly experienced Senior Policy Advisor (either at a Senior II level or a Senior I ready for the next step) with a proven track record of success. You are comfortable with ambiguity and thrive on the challenge of delivering clear, pragmatic advice at pace. Your approach is mature and collaborative; you build trust effortlessly and are skilled at mentoring colleagues, contributing positively to the team's culture and overall capability.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Senior Policy Advisor within the New Zealand public sector.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex, strategic policy projects from inception to implementation.
- The ability to provide sound, rapid advice on a diverse range of challenging issues.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the confidence to have robust conversations with senior stakeholders.
- A natural ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across government agencies.
- A genuine desire to contribute to a positive team environment, including mentoring and developing others.
- A relevant post-graduate qualification is desirable.
