Known for their outstanding service, technical product knowledge, and strong stock availability, they’ve built a loyal national customer base — and now they’re looking to grow even further in the commercial and civil construction space.

Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
This is a full-time role based out of the Christchurch branch, focused on developing new business and managing key accounts across the commercial and civil sectors. The role replaces an incumbent and continues to drive growth across these key sectors. You’ll be working in a friendly, high-performing team — but this is a role with plenty of autonomy. The expectation is that you’ll own your territory, grow brand awareness, build relationships, and consistently bring in new customers.
It’s a proactive, customer-facing sales role: part account management, part new business development, and part trusted technical adviser. You’ll be backed by a responsive internal sales and warehouse team, and have the tools you need to succeed (Surface Pro, CRM, phone, vehicle).

Ngā kawenga | What You’ll Be Doing
  • Growing and maintaining a customer base across the commercial and civil construction sectors
  • Actively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
  • Driving product awareness and presenting tailored solutions
  • Managing your sales pipeline and customer insights using digital tools
  • Collaborating with your internal branch team to deliver excellent service
  • Helping out in-branch when needed — it’s a team effort
Mōhou ake | About You
We’re looking for someone who:
  • Brings proven B2B sales experience (ideally in construction, trade, or industrial products)
  • Is proactive, organised, and owns their targets
  • Can confidently walk onto a worksite or into an engineering workshop and start a conversation
  • Understands how to build trust and deliver value
  • Is digitally confident — comfortable using CRMs, tablets, and mobile tools
  • Thrives in a role that blends autonomy with teamwork

  • Salary range: $80,000–$110,000 base (depending on experience)
