We’re partnering with a respected supplier to the construction and engineering sectors, known for delivering high-quality product solutions with outstanding customer service. The Wellington branch is growing fast, backed by a national footprint, a great internal team, and strong market demand – and we’re now looking for someone to help drive our civil and infrastructure growth.
Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
This is a full-time, face-to-face sales role focused on the civil and infrastructure sector across the Wellington region. You’ll be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of customers — from contractors to project managers — providing technical product advice and building long-term, service-based relationships. While the brand is well-established in the region, this is a growth-focused role with room to make your mark.
You’ll be supported by a high-performing internal sales and warehouse team and will work closely with the Branch Manager and National Sales Manager to deliver on growth targets and customer satisfaction. The territory includes Wellington, Hutt Valley, Kapiti Coast, Wairarapa, and occasionally further north.
Ngā kawenga | What You’ll Be Doing
- Growing and maintaining a strong portfolio of civil and construction clients
- Proactively identifying new business opportunities across your territory
- Providing technical product support and maintaining regular on-site contact
- Using internal tools (Surface Pro + proprietary CRM) to manage workflow
- Collaborating with the internal team to ensure seamless customer service
- Helping out in branch from time to time when needed
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has proven B2B sales experience, ideally in trade, construction, or industrial sectors
- Is a self-starter who takes ownership and can follow sales processes
- Builds strong, trust-based relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- Is confident using CRMs and digital tools (training provided)
- Feels at home walking onto a construction site and talking shop
- Thrives in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment
- $80,000–$95,000 base salary (depending on experience)
- Company vehicle, Surface Pro, and mobile phone
- Discretionary 6-monthly bonus + high-performance incentive scheme
- Strong onboarding and internal support
