Payroll Manager

People2people are proud to be partnering with a dynamic and rapidly expanding Australian-owned organisation with a strong track record in building an impressive property portfolio. Their assets span across retail (hospitality), commercial properties, and development sites throughout Australia and New Zealand.

They currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll Manager to lead and enhance the payroll function within the business. This role offers the opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation in a period of growth and innovation.

About the role:

Leading the end-to-end payroll function, including management of two direct reports
Ensuring timely and accurate processing of employee remuneration and entitlements
Overseeing statutory obligations such as Superannuation, Payroll Tax, Child Support, and WorkCover
Driving the development and implementation of payroll strategies, systems, and process improvements
Interpreting and applying Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements accurately
Producing detailed payroll reports and providing insights to senior leadership
Conducting regular quality control audits to maintain compliance and data integrity
Supporting various ad hoc projects and duties as required.

About You:
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar payroll management position
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Excellent attention to detail
High-level written and verbal communication skills
Advanced numeracy, investigative, and critical thinking skills
In-depth knowledge of payroll legislation, compliance requirements, and full function operations.
