Senior Finance Officer


We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Officer to join our team on a temporary basis. This role requires strong technical expertise in finance operations, with a focus on Xero, payroll oversight, and configuring long service leave entitlements. You will also play a key role in supporting the MYOB to Xero system implementation and ensuring smooth payroll processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Manage and process payroll accurately, including long service leave configuration.
  • Support and monitor the transition from MYOB to Xero, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
  • Prepare and analyse financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Provide financial advice and support to management and other departments.
Successful Candidate Profile
  • Strong experience in finance operations and payroll management.
  • Proficiency in Xero and understanding of MYOB systems.
  • Ability to configure long service leave entitlements within payroll systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
  • Previous experience in a senior finance or payroll role.
  • Advanced knowledge of Xero and MYOB.
  • Familiarity with Australian payroll legislation and entitlements.
