Senior Finance Officer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Officer to join our team on a temporary basis. This role requires strong technical expertise in finance operations, with a focus on Xero, payroll oversight, and configuring long service leave entitlements. You will also play a key role in supporting the MYOB to Xero system implementation and ensuring smooth payroll processes.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
Manage and process payroll accurately, including long service leave configuration.
Support and monitor the transition from MYOB to Xero, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
Prepare and analyse financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
Provide financial advice and support to management and other departments.

Successful Candidate Profile

Strong experience in finance operations and payroll management.
Proficiency in Xero and understanding of MYOB systems.
Ability to configure long service leave entitlements within payroll systems.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
High attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Qualifications & Skills

Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
Previous experience in a senior finance or payroll role.
Advanced knowledge of Xero and MYOB.
Familiarity with Australian payroll legislation and entitlements.
