Keeping Fit in Lockdown

Rhys McCartney • October 27, 2021

As I write this, there are lockdowns in NSW and Victoria. This has forced many businesses to close their doors, with one of the most significant of these being the closure of gyms and fitness facilities. Although this has made it harder for people to exercise, it’s not impossible and through improvisation and ingenuity we at 1RM Health and Nutrition have been able to keep people not only fit, but also connected with each other through online workout sessions such as the wellbeing sessions that we run with people2people each fortnight.

As many studies have shown exercise has significant effects on not only your physical health but also your mental health which is exactly why it is so important especially in tough times like we are in now. The main aim for the online workouts is to not only provide people with an easily accessible workout that doesn’t require any equipment but also to allow people to connect with others in a time where it is very easy to feel disconnected. The wellbeing sessions are also a great way to break up the workday as most people are working from home. It’s very hard to have a work life balance if you are always in your workspace. The online workouts have been effectively integrated into people2people’s work schedule in the mid-afternoon, to not only break the day up but also to enhance productivity, both pre and post workout.

So, if you or your team are looking for a way to stay connected, keep fit and have fun at the same time, then the 1RM Health and Nutrition online sessions are for you.The body content of your post goes here.
