In the world of recruitment, they say that the highs are extraordinary. The feeling of placing a job seeker in a new role, having them express how grateful and appreciative they are towards you, knowing that you were the catalyst in basically having their dreams come true, or at the very least, paving the way towards their new career path, is frankly amazing!

But on the other hand, the lows can be extremely low. When a job seeker accepts a counter-offer from their current employer, which they reassured you time and time again they would not accept. Or when you’ve found the perfect person for a job and you’re about to submit them to a hiring manager, but the hiring manager has informed you that your competitor has beaten you to the punch.

You can simmer and boil in the bitterness and unfairness of it all, or you can let your steam evaporate, instead consciously choosing to get right back up, brush it all off and keep on moving forward! Because just like in your every day life: “Success is not final, and failure is not fatal - it is the courage to continue that counts”. So keep your head up, keep marching onward, and most especially keep doing what you do best - that is, to always source top quality talent.
