About the role
The organisation is seeking a hands-on Accounts Manager for a part-time contract role, covering a maternity leave period until February 2027. This position is ideal for a professional who can quickly adapt, take ownership of the accounting function, and manage operations with minimal supervision.
Key responsibilities
- Manage trust accounting operations, including daily receipting of trust monies
- Allocate and reconcile trust transactions while ensuring compliance with legal standards
- Oversee the firm's day-to-day financial operations, including payables, receivables, and general ledger management
- Process payroll end-to-end and coordinate with external accountants on reporting obligations
- Liaise with external accountants and auditors to support audit processes and financial reporting
Skills & experience
- Proven experience in legal accounting, specifically with trust accounts
- Strong capability in using Affinity software without the need for training
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and take full ownership of the accounting function
- Professional demeanor and reliability, with a strong cultural fit for the organisation
