Our client is a well-established and highly regarded professional services organisation with a strong reputation for delivering quality outcomes to its clients. Due to a maternity leave, they are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to support billing accuracy, revenue integrity, and effective cash flow management across the business in a standalone capacity.
This role will suit an accounting professional who enjoys working in a structured environment, partnering with stakeholders, and taking ownership of the receivables function.
The Role
Reporting into senior stakeholders, you will play a key role in managing the end-to-end accounts receivable process while ensuring accurate billing and timely collection of revenue.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and issuing client invoices in collaboration with internal stakeholders, including working closely with company directors and project leads
- Maintaining accurate invoice records within MYOB
- Managing and reconciling the accounts receivable ledger
- Accurately allocating incoming payments
- Assisting with bank reconciliations and supporting month-end processes
- Monitoring timesheets to ensure accurate billing alignment
- Managing outstanding receivables and supporting timely collections
- Investigating and resolving billing discrepancies and client queries
- Maintaining financial documentation and audit-ready records
- Supporting fee proposal administration and general finance operations
About You
You are a detail-oriented finance professional who takes pride in accuracy, organisation, and stakeholder communication. You are comfortable operating in a standalone capacity.
You will bring:
- 1–2 years’ experience in an Accounts Receivable or finance support role
- Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and reconciliation processes
- Experience using MYOB (highly regarded)
- Industry experience from professiona services ideal
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office capability
- High level of attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills with confidence liaising across business units
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach
