Assistant Accountant

The Company:
Our client is a worldwide well-known and highly respected brand in the electronics industry. This position reports to the Senior Management Accountant based at the Sydney Olympic Park Office. This role requires an individual to work 4 days in the office and 1-day WFH.

About the role:

This role will be working with various stakeholders across the business across different divisions reviewing all marketing related queries/activities. It is important for the successful candidate to detail orientated with some level of commercial acumen in order to evaluate and validate all queries and request coming through and working with business to address any gaps and inconsistencies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Validate and approve high volume of Marketing vendor invoices and Customer claims in accordance with the Company’s compliance guidelines
Assist with month end procedures
Perform various reconciliations and reports used for decision making
Assist Management Accountant to develop and improve Marketing processes including policy compliance and open items management
Perform financial analysis on an adhoc basis and report to Business Support Manager Liaise with and manage offshore business process support teams

About YOU:

University Degree in Accounting/ Finance (or any related discipline)
CPA or CA qualified (or studying towards) desirable
Knowledge or experience using SAP will be advantageous

Conduct market research and analysis around consumer requirements, habits and trends
Plan and execute service initiatives to reach the target audience through appropriate channels (social, media, SMS, email, etc)
Gather and analyse marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic etc) to help create and shape future service marketing strategies
Work across internal teams to ensure consistent communications, promotions, offers, content are aligned across all channels
Collaborate with external vendors to support and ensure the execution of service marketing plan through promotional events and campaigns
Create and distribute weekly/monthly reports on critical metrics as well as establish consistent cadences
Engage with service partners and other key stakeholders to ensure support with the execution of strategic marketing plans
Brainstorm and develop ideas for creative marketing campaigns
About YOU:
BSc/BA in marketing, communications or equivalent
Experience within a Marketing Coordinator or similar role
Experience with Office 365 specifically Excel and Adobe products essential
Experience working closely with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Experience with end to end campaign management/execution, analysing data to optimise campaigns, localisation/editing of marketing materials
