Assistant Business Analyst

• Up to $42.00 per hour plus super | $80,000 - $85,000 plus super depending on experience

Ready to step into a role where numbers actually matter? A respected building solutions provider near Fairfield is looking for an Assistant Business Analyst who can own financial reporting, data analysis and process improvement from day one.

This is not a back-office role. You will be in the thick of decision-making, helping the business run smarter, faster and better.

What you’ll actually do

• Assist with driving month-end close, including journals, accruals, reconciliations and keeping the ledger clean


• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, management reports and support budgeting and forecasting


• Analyse data to spot trends, risks and opportunities, then translate the numbers into clear business insights


• Collaborate with Operations and Sales to turn insights into action


• Find ways to automate reports and improve processes

You’re the one if you

• Have relevant Accounting, Finance or Business Analysis experience


• Are familiar with month-end procedures


• Have advanced Excel skills, along with Power BI


• Can translate numbers into real business insights


• Are CPA or CA qualified, or currently studying


• Experience in construction, building materials or trade supply is a bonus, but not essential
