Full Job Details
The Firm
A national commercial firm with an established Construction and Infrastructure practice, acting on complex back-end disputes across major projects. The team operates within a broader disputes platform and is known for handling technically demanding litigation and arbitration work. The practice sits within a structured environment with direct Partner access and consistent exposure to significant construction disputes.
The Role
An Associate or Senior Associate role supporting a Construction Partner on back-end matters. The work is litigation focused, covering disputes arising from major projects, including delays, defects and contractual claims.
Responsibilities include drafting pleadings and submissions, managing discovery, assisting with expert evidence and supporting the conduct of proceedings. The role provides direct exposure to strategy and client interaction, with expectation of increasing ownership over matters as capability develops.
The Candidate
1.5+ years PQE in construction litigation. Front-end only candidates are not relevant unless they have clear disputes exposure. Technically capable, able to work through detail without supervision and comfortable operating in a disputes environment. Strong drafting and analytical skills are required. Suitable for an Associate looking to deepen disputes exposure or a Senior Associate seeking more direct Partner access and faster progression.
Benefits
Direct reporting line to a recognised construction disputes Partner. Consistent pipeline of complex litigation work. Lean team structure allowing faster skill development and visibility.
