The Role
- Associate or Senior Associate role within a Sydney based intellectual property team
- Working across complex IP litigation and strategic advisory matters
- Acting on disputes involving patents, trademarks, copyright and brand protection
- Involvement in high value, high profile litigation and multi-jurisdictional matters
- Supporting IP asset creation, commercialisation and protection strategies
- Drafting pleadings, submissions and complex legal documentation
- Managing multiple matters in a fast paced environment
- Working closely with leading partners on market leading cases
- Exposure to cross-border matters through a global network
- Opportunity to develop client relationships and contribute to business development
The Candidate
- Admitted lawyer with 4+ years post admission experience
- Strong intellectual property background gained within a reputable practice
- Significant experience in IP litigation is essential
- Patent litigation experience is advantageous but not required
- Technically strong with excellent drafting and analytical skills
- Able to manage competing priorities in a high demand environment
- Strong organisational and time management capability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Commercially aware with a proactive and driven approach
- High level of intellectual curiosity and commitment to continuous learning
