About the role
The Business Development Manager is responsible for promoting the company and its brands in the marketplace, securing new accounts, and managing an established territory. This role requires regular regional travel and involves both account management and new business development.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and grow an established customer territory
- Maintain and strengthen relationships across the dealer network
- Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts
- Secure new dealers and customers where appropriate
- Understand customer needs and develop mutually beneficial solutions
- Sell on product quality, service and overall value rather than price alone
- Maintain regular contact with customers across a large regional area
- Manage territory and schedule autonomously.
Skills & experience
- Proven experience in business development, territory management, or account management
- Strong relationship-building and account-management skills
- Ability to think creatively and seize opportunities
- Commitment to the company and its objectives
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Valid Driver’s License is essential.
