Business Development Manager
A growing specialist provider of alternative power and battery energy solutions is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across major projects throughout Australia.
This is a newly created opportunity to join a business that is investing heavily in battery energy storage technology and supporting some of Australia's largest construction, civil infrastructure, mining, rail, tunnelling and industrial projects.
The role is suited to a commercially minded sales professional who enjoys building long-term client relationships, identifying new opportunities and working closely with project stakeholders to deliver practical solutions.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will be responsible for:
- Developing new business opportunities across construction, civil, infrastructure, mining and industrial sectors
- Building relationships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors, project teams and key decision makers
- Managing strategic sales opportunities from initial engagement through to commercial close
- Growing existing accounts while identifying new revenue opportunities
- Working closely with technical and operational teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Maintaining accurate sales activity, pipeline reporting and forecasts through CRM systems
- Representing the business at client meetings, site visits, industry events and project discussions
About You
We are interested in speaking with candidates who have:
- Proven business development or sales experience within construction, equipment hire, temporary power, industrial services, engineering solutions or related industries
- Strong commercial and relationship management skills
- Experience selling into major projects or project-based environments
- An ability to engage confidently with both operational and executive stakeholders
- A consultative and professional sales style
- High levels of autonomy, drive and accountability
Experience within battery energy storage, power generation, electrical solutions, renewable energy, equipment rental or industrial infrastructure will be highly regarded but is not essential.
