A well-regarded national accounting firm is seeking an experienced Business Services Supervisor or Manager to join their growing team. This opportunity has been created to support continued growth and can be tailored to suit a strong Supervisor ready for more scope or an emerging Manager looking to step into a broader leadership role.
The opportunity:
You’ll take ownership of a diverse client portfolio while supporting and developing your team. Working closely with Partners, you’ll play a key role in driving technical excellence, client service and a high-performing team culture.
Your role will include:
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, providing practical written and verbal advice
- Coaching and mentoring team members to support their technical and professional development
- Reviewing and overseeing the preparation of financial statements and tax returns across individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs
- Managing compliance obligations, including BAS, IAS, FBT, CGT and PAYG
- Representing clients in dealings with statutory authorities when required
- Supporting larger and more complex client groups, including consolidated accounts, general-purpose financial statements and cash flow reporting
- Managing workflow and resourcing to ensure deadlines and quality standards are consistently met
- Contributing to training sessions, leadership forums and broader firm initiatives
- Must be CA or CPA qualified
- Approximately 5–8 years’ experience in Australian public practice within Business Services and Tax
- Experience in a supervisory, manager or senior leadership capacity
- Strong technical capability across accounting, tax and compliance, with the confidence to both prepare and review work
- A clear, confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills
- Detail-oriented with a solutions-focused approach
- Able to work autonomously while managing competing priorities and deadlines
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
- Comfortable working with financial KPIs, including productivity and write-off targets
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience within Agribusiness and Primary Production client sectors will be highly regarded.
You’ll be joining a collaborative structure of 2 Partners, a Supervisor, Senior Accountants, an experienced Intermediate and Undergraduate team members, offering both leadership exposure and strong peer support.
