Chief Executive Officer
Lead the Peak Body for Australia's Strata and Community Titles Sector Strata Community Association (SCA) is the peak industry body representing strata and community title professionals across Australia and New Zealand. Through advocacy, education, professional standards and member engagement, SCA plays a critical role in shaping the future of one of Australia's most significant and rapidly evolving property sectors. Reporting to the Board through the President, the Chief Executive Officer will lead the organisation through its next phase of growth, influence and organisational capability. This is an opportunity for an accomplished executive leader to shape industry outcomes, strengthen member value and drive the strategic direction of a respected national membership organisation.
About the Role
The CEO is responsible for translating Board-approved strategy into disciplined operational delivery while ensuring strong governance, financial sustainability and organisational performance. The role requires sound commercial judgement, political awareness, governance maturity and the ability to lead across a complex national stakeholder environment.
Working closely with the Board, Corporate Members, Chapters, government stakeholders, regulators, sponsors and industry partners, you will:
  • Lead the execution of SCA's strategic plan and annual business priorities
  • Provide high-quality governance support, reporting and strategic advice to the Board
  • Drive financial sustainability and commercial performance across events, sponsorships, education and member services
  • Build trusted relationships across SCA's national federated membership structure
  • Lead advocacy, policy and government engagement initiatives
  • Strengthen professional standards, education and accreditation programs across the sector
  • Develop organisational capability, leadership succession and workforce planning
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and operational excellence
  • Represent SCA as the trusted and credible national voice for the strata and community titles sector
Key Selection Criteria
To be considered for this opportunity, you will demonstrate:
  • Significant senior executive leadership experience within an industry association, professional body, member organisation, not-for-profit or similarly complex stakeholder environment
  • Proven experience reporting to and working closely with a Board
  • Experience leading within a federated, chapter-based or multi-jurisdictional structure
  • Strong commercial and financial management capability, including budgeting, forecasting and oversight of commercial activities
  • A track record of translating strategy into measurable outcomes through disciplined execution and accountability
  • Outstanding stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • Strong judgement, political awareness and the ability to operate effectively within delegated authority
  • Exceptional communication, influencing and leadership capabilities
  • Personal resilience, accountability and a commitment to ethical leadership
  • Experience within industry associations, professional bodies, membership organisations or regulated environments will be highly regarded
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or governance credentials, are also desirable

An attractive executive remuneration package, including performance-based incentives, will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
