The Firm
A well regarded WA law firm is looking for an experienced Commercial Conveyancing Paralegal to join their established property team. The firm has a strong reputation locally and offers a supportive environment with exposure to a steady flow of commercial property work. This is a full time, permanent role based close to the Perth CBD.
The Position
Working alongside several lawyers in the property team, this role sits between Legal Assistant and Conveyancer level and will involve supporting a busy commercial conveyancing practice. Around 60% of the role will focus on commercial conveyancing matters, which tend to be more detailed than residential files and involve coordination across multiple stakeholders.
- Managing commercial conveyancing files from commencement through to settlement
- Preparing transfer documentation and coordinating settlement requirements
- Conducting searches and preparing supporting documentation
- Assisting with drafting property documentation and correspondence
- Supporting lease preparation and related commercial property matters
- Liaising with clients, agents and third parties throughout matters
- Coordinating diaries, tracking deadlines and assisting with workflow across files
The Candidate
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Previous experience in commercial conveyancing within a law firm
- Confidence supporting settlements from start through to completion
- Candidates coming from residential conveyancing may still be considered if they have some exposure to commercial matters
Working Arrangements
This role is full time and office based for the first 12 months to support training and integration into the team. Some flexibility may be considered after this.
