Credit Control & Collections Officer

I'm currently partnering with a well-established and rapidly growing financial services organisation to recruit a Credit Control & Collections Officer to join their team on a temporary basis.

The Opportunity

Reporting into the Collections team, you'll be responsible for managing a portfolio of later-stage arrears accounts, working closely with customers to negotiate repayment arrangements and achieve positive commercial outcomes.

This position would suit an experienced collections professional who is confident navigating challenging conversations, enjoys problem-solving and can balance customer service with commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of overdue and delinquent accounts
• Negotiate payment arrangements and recovery solutions with customers
• Contact customers via phone, email and SMS to resolve outstanding balances
• Maintain accurate account notes and customer records
• Conduct skip tracing activities
• Work closely with legal representatives and internal stakeholders on recovery matters
• Liaise with external field services providers to assist with account resolution
• Support broader collections and recoveries initiatives as required

About You

• Previous experience within Credit Control, Collections, Recoveries or Accounts Receivable
• Commercial collections experience will be highly regarded
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills
• Customer-focused approach with the ability to handle sensitive conversations professionally
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities
