About the role
The Customer Service Team Leader will oversee the daily operations of a lean inbound sales team. This role is pivotal in managing inbound enquiries and ensuring high levels of responsiveness and quote turnaround. The successful candidate will also provide hands-on support with quoting and coordination of sales activities, making a direct impact on team performance and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate daily inbound sales operations
  • Manage flow and allocation of inbound sales enquiries
  • Ensure timely turnaround of quotes and customer follow-ups
  • Oversee end-of-day reporting and activity tracking
  • Support and guide both in-house and remote sales representatives
  • Provide hands-on assistance with quoting and customer queries as needed
  • Maintain team productivity and output across all inbound channels
  • Act as key coordination point for inbound sales activity
Skills & experience
  • Proven experience in strong organisational skills with the ability to create structure and ensure follow-through
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload and manage competing demands
  • Proven supervisory or team lead experience, or demonstrated experience implementing structure/process
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to interpret technical or product-related customer queries, with industrial/building sector exposure being advantageous
  • Comfortable using CRM systems, with NetSuite experience being beneficial
  • Proactive approach with willingness to step in and support the team
