We are partnering with a globally recognised luxury hotel group renowned for its creative energy, design-led spaces and authentic guest experiences is seeking an accomplished Director of Sales to lead the commercial function of its Sydney property.
 

The Opportunity:
 
As Director of Sales, you’ll take full ownership of the property’s sales performance, guiding a capable team of six across business development, events, and corporate accounts. You’ll collaborate closely with the locally based General Manager and Global VP of Sales to drive commercial outcomes, foster team capability, and ensure brand alignment across global initiatives.
 
Your remit covers strategic leadership, hands-on team coaching, driving revenue generation, and relationship management with key corporate and travel partners. This is a highly visible leadership role suited to someone who thrives on driving business results while cultivating a motivated, creative, and performance-oriented team.
 

Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Lead and develop the Sales team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Oversight and coaching of the local marketing team.
  • Shape and execute the annual sales strategy across corporate, MICE, events, and leisure segments to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the Director of Revenue, Operations, and global brand teams to align commercial activity with broader business goals.
  • Oversee forecasting, reporting and budget management, ensuring a disciplined and data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Represent the property at trade shows, partner events, and key industry forums, strengthening the hotel’s profile in both domestic and international markets.
  • Uphold brand integrity in all sales and marketing initiatives, working in partnership with global teams responsible for brand and creative strategy.
 
About You:
 
You’re an experienced sales leader with a strong understanding of luxury or lifestyle hospitality. You combine commercial acumen with creativity and people leadership, capable of balancing global brand alignment with local market strategy. You’re confident managing performance, nurturing partnerships, and motivating a diverse team in a dynamic, design-driven environment.
