The role overview
I am recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join my clients Finance team within Rydalmere. As a Divisional Financial Accountant, you will be instrumental in the financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Reporting to the General Manager of Corporate services, you will play a key role in maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures, encompassing various financial activities, from general ledger management to budgeting and forecasting. This role will have 1 direct report.

Key responsibilities

Deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and Head Office
Prepare forecasts, budgets, COGS analysis, cashflow management, and business insights
Manage payroll-related transactions, general ledger reconciliations, and fixed asset registers
Ensure compliance with J-SOX, statutory accounts, GST/FBT, and audit requirements
Oversee accounts payable, expense management (Concur), company credit cards, fleet management, and insurance renewals
Support continuous improvement in financial, administrative, WHS, and sustainability practices
Provide SAP system support and assist staff with transaction processing

About you
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate previous experience as per the following:

Bachelor's degree with an emphasis on Accounting, CPA or working towards it preferred.
3-5 years in financial reporting/general ledger roles. Experience within manufacturing and logistics industry
Strong financial reporting, compliance, and analysis skills
Excellent communication, attention to detail, and accuracy
