The role overview
I am recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join my clients Finance team within Rydalmere. As a Divisional Financial Accountant, you will be instrumental in the financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Reporting to the General Manager of Corporate services, you will play a key role in maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures, encompassing various financial activities, from general ledger management to budgeting and forecasting. This role will have 1 direct report.

Key responsibilities
  • Deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and Head Office
  • Prepare forecasts, budgets, COGS analysis, cashflow management, and business insights
  • Manage payroll-related transactions, general ledger reconciliations, and fixed asset registers
  • Ensure compliance with J-SOX, statutory accounts, GST/FBT, and audit requirements
  • Oversee accounts payable, expense management (Concur), company credit cards, fleet management, and insurance renewals
  • Support continuous improvement in financial, administrative, WHS, and sustainability practices
  • Provide SAP system support and assist staff with transaction processing

 
About you
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate previous experience as per the following:
  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis on Accounting, CPA or working towards it preferred.
  • 3-5 years in financial reporting/general ledger roles. Experience within manufacturing and logistics industry
  • Strong financial reporting, compliance, and analysis skills
  • Excellent communication, attention to detail, and accuracy
