About the role
As an Electrical Compliance Engineer, you will ensure that electrical products meet AS/NZS standards and regulatory requirements. You will manage compliance processes across various products, liaising with suppliers, testing laboratories, and regulatory authorities.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure compliance of electrical and electronic products with Australian and New Zealand standards
- Review inspection reports, test reports, and compliance documentation from suppliers
- Conduct product evaluations, including electrical testing and troubleshooting
- Identify compliance risks and implement corrective actions
- Liaise with external laboratories, certification bodies, and compliance teams
- Maintain compliance documentation and certification records
- Monitor updates to relevant standards and ensure ongoing compliance
- Support retailer compliance requirements and respond to technical enquiries.
Skills & experience
- Degree or trade qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related discipline
- Proven experience in Electrical Compliance or Regulatory roles
- Strong knowledge of AS/NZS electrical standards and frameworks
- Experience with product testing, certification, and troubleshooting
- Ability to interpret technical reports and laboratory test results
- Strong problem-solving skills with a practical approach
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
