About the role

In this role, you will prepare financial statements, income tax returns, and general-purpose reports for a diverse range of clients across various industries. You will conduct tax research and handle payroll tax preparation, GST, PAYG, BAS, and IAS preparation. You will collate and assist with SMSF preparation, planning, and advisory for clients. This position provides exposure to different business structures, including partnerships, trusts, companies, and individuals. You will perform journal adjustments, reconciliations, and support work papers for client accounts. Collaboration with other divisions across the firm will enhance your skillset through learning and knowledge-sharing.

Key responsibilities

Prepare financial statements and income tax returns
Conduct tax research and handle payroll tax preparation
Collate and assist with SMSF preparation and advisory
Perform journal adjustments and reconciliations
Collaborate with other divisions to enhance skillset

Skills & experience

Proven experience in an Australian accounting firm with a focus on client service
Strong capability in Microsoft Office, MYOB, and Xero
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Client-focused with a commitment to professional development
Advantageous to have commenced CAANZ, CPA, or CTA studies
