A well-established, globally recognised mid-tier accounting firm is seeking an experienced Intermediate Auditor or Audit Senior to join its growing Brisbane team. You’ll be based in the Brisbane CBD and work closely with Partners and Managers who are known for being hands-on mentors. The firm offers a stable, welcoming culture and strong career development for auditors who want to continue progressing within public practice.
The role:
You will be responsible for delivering end-to-end audit engagements across a varied client base in Qld and, NSW with direct client exposure and the opportunity to lead engagements as you grow.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and executing audit engagements from planning through to completion
- Working closely with Partners and Managers to ensure high-quality outcomes for clients
- Liaising directly with clients to coordinate fieldwork and finalise financial statements
- Supervising and mentoring junior auditors, particularly on larger engagements
- Travelling to client sites as required
- Participating in internal and external training and development programs
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (BCom or BBus)
- At least 2.5 years’ experience in external audit within an Australian or global accounting firm
- CA or CPA qualification, or currently completing
- Strong working knowledge of Australian Accounting and Auditing Standards
- Confidence in communicating with clients and building professional relationships
- The ability to manage audits independently while working effectively as part of a team
- Exposure to a broad and interesting client portfolio
- Supportive Partners and Managers who actively mentor their team
