With continued growth, major projects on the horizon and a leadership team committed to improvement, they are seeking a Senior Accountant to play a key role in the organisation's next chapter.
About the Role
Ready to step beyond month-end reporting and have a real say in how a business operates? Perhaps looking to step into a leadership position and oversee/ mentor a team?
Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a rare opportunity for an ambitious Accountant to take ownership of the finance function, provide leadership to a small team and become a trusted advisor to the business.
While you'll remain hands-on across reporting, compliance and management accounting, you'll also be involved in budgeting, business planning, process improvement and strategic decision-making. You'll have the autonomy to identify opportunities, improve how things are done and help build a stronger finance function as the organisation continues to grow.
This role would suit an experienced Accountant in commerce looking for greater ownership and influence, or someone ready to step into a broader leadership position without needing the Finance Manager title.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing financial reporting, management accounting and compliance
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and business planning
- Leading and supporting a small finance and billing team
- Providing financial insights to support business decisions
- Identifying and driving process improvement initiatives
- Strengthening financial controls and reporting processes
- Supporting strategic projects and future growth initiatives
About You
You are a CPA-qualified accountant who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and contributing beyond the numbers.
You'll bring:
- Strong financial reporting and management accounting experience
- Experience mentoring, coaching or supporting junior team members
- A proactive, hands-on approach
- Strong commercial and analytical skills
- The ability to build relationships with stakeholders across the business
- A genuine interest in improving processes and systems
- Experience within aged care, NDIS, community services or the not-for-profit sector will be highly regarded.
- Mandarin and/or Cantonese language skills will also be viewed favourably.
What's on Offer?
- Direct access to the CEO and leadership team
- Genuine ownership of the finance function
- The opportunity to develop and demonstrate leadership capability
- Broad exposure across operational and strategic finance
- The chance to improve systems, processes and controls
- Involvement in exciting growth and expansion projects
- Flexible start and finish times
- On-site parking
- A visible role where your contribution will make a genuine impact in the community
