Financial Accountant

Make a real difference close to home! This North Ipswich, Not-For-Profit organisation is dedicated to supporting local families, individuals and communities through inclusive projects and outreach services and practical assistance. They are passionate about providing positive change in the community. Join the finance team, on a 3 month temp basis to complete month end processing and assist with end of month.

The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager and working in a team of 6, the responsibilities of the role will include,

Preparation and posting of journals, accruals and prepayments
Complete month-end reconciliations, including bank, balance sheet and GL accounts
Assisting with preparation of BAS
Assist with automation process improvements
Assist with monthly management reporting and analysis
Review and assistance across Accounts Payable and Receivable

About You
The successful applicant will have/be,

Degree qualified and studying towards CA or CPA
Strong understanding of accounting principles
Experienced in a similar role and ability to pick up new processes with ease
A strong attention to detail and well developed communication skills
Ability to commence at short notice
Strong ERP systems experience and Intermediate Excel
A positive and professional team player
