Financial Accountant

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Financial Accountant to join a close-knit team in a hands-on, all-rounder accounting role. This position will suit someone who enjoys variety, ownership of their work, and contributing to all aspects across finance.

About the Role

This is a genuinely multifaceted Financial Accountant role, offering exposure across the full accounting function while partnering closely with the broader business. You will play a key role in core financial operations, statutory and compliance reporting, and delivering commercial insights that support sales performance and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

End-to-end accounts payable, with a focus on inventory-related AP
Balance sheet and bank reconciliations
Month-end support and reporting
Compliance and documentation related to JSOX (or US SOX) reporting requirements
Business and sales reporting to support commercial decision-making and assist the sales team
Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial data
Ad hoc finance and some assistant/administrative tasks to support the wider team
Contributing to process improvement in a growing, fast-moving environment

Candidate Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
3–5 years of accounting experience (experience in a small or medium-sized business preferred)
Solid understanding of financial reporting principles
Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data analytics etc)
Proven experience in an all-rounder accounting role
Strong skills in reconciliations and accounts payable, particularly for inventory
Exposure to or understanding of JSOX or US SOX compliance (essential)
Experience preparing business and sales reports
Comfortable working in a small team and being hands on across all aspects of finance
Strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously
Good communication skills and a proactive, can-do attitude
