About the Company
This privately owned investment group works across property and finance, managing a mixed portfolio of assets across Australia. The business has a strong foundation and continues to grow steadily through ongoing investment and development activity. With a hands-on approach, the team is involved across a range of projects and investment structures, offering a practical and varied environment rather than a heavily layered corporate setting.
About the role
Reporting to the Finance Manager and working within a small team, this Financial Accountant will play an integral role in managing the financial health and compliance requirements of multiple entities within the organisation. This position offers the opportunity to engage with diverse company structures and contribute to key financial processes, including EOFY and EOM reporting, tax compliance, and intercompany reconciliations.
Key responsibilities
  • Prepare and manage BAS for multiple entities, ensuring tailored approaches based on varying company requirements
  • Assist with EOFY and EOM processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Conduct intercompany reconciliations to maintain financial integrity across entities
  • Prepare tax compliance, including DIV 7A requirements
About you
A proactive and technically sound accountant, you will enjoy being hands on in the detail while also having the ability to step back and analyse the information you are working with to ensure the integrity of reported information. You will be a collaborative accountant who thrives in a team-based environment where you will receive ongoing mentoring and be encouraged to share knowledge. Additionally, you will:
  • Be qualified or studying towards CA/CPA, with proven experience in financial accounting within a business services, tax, or commercial environment
  • Have strong capability in managing complex financial processes and compliance requirements
  • Demonstrate the ability to adapt to different company structures and provide tailored financial solutions
  • Have strong Excel skills and the ability to work with complex data sets
What’s in it for you
Ongoing learning and development opportunities in a business that values its people, offering both internal and external training. Stable team culture with enviable flexibility, including a hybrid work week (2 days WFH) and genuine work-life balance in a family-friendly environment. Opportunity to influence financial strategies within a growing organisation. Well-established and growing business with exposure to a variety of projects. Close to public transport with access to rostered onsite parking in a city fringe location. Competitive salary depending on experience, with study support provided.
