Financial Compliance & Field Officer

Permanent full‑time | Wayville, SA | $110k + super + vehicle

Are you looking for a role that combines financial compliance, industry engagement, and real impact across South Australia’s construction sector?
A long‑established, highly respected industry trust is seeking a Financial Compliance Manager & Field Officer to join its small, dedicated team in Adelaide. This is a unique opportunity to make a difference while enjoying autonomy, variety, and meaningful stakeholder relationships.

About the Organisation
This Adelaide‑based industry trust plays a critical role in supporting workers and employers within the construction sector. Known for its integrity, strong governance, and commitment to protecting worker entitlements, the organisation maintains deep connections across the industry. Candidates can expect a stable environment, strong values, and work that genuinely contributes to the wellbeing of the South Australian workforce.

The Opportunity
This dual‑focused role blends analytical compliance work with hands‑on field engagement.
You’ll monitor employer contribution compliance, support internal financial processes, contribute to investment and board reporting, and represent the organisation on construction sites, in workshops, and at industry events.
No two days look the same — and your work directly strengthens the trust, the industry, and the workers it supports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor employer contributions and identify non‑compliance.
  • Conduct audits, reviews, and variance checks.
  • Manage arrears, late payments, and remediation processes.
  • Support annual audit and regulatory reporting.
  • Assist with investment and fund performance reporting.
  • Visit construction sites and employer workplaces across SA.
  • Promote the scheme, educate stakeholders, and support employers and workers.
  • Identify emerging risks, opportunities, and new industry participants.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly reporting and maintain detailed activity records.
About You
You’re someone who enjoys balancing technical work with real‑world engagement.
You’re confident on construction sites, comfortable speaking with diverse groups, and meticulous with financial data.

You will bring:
  • Background in financial compliance, auditing, fund administration or similar.
  • Understanding of employer contribution schemes, trusts, or industrial relations.
  • Ability to interpret Awards, EBAs and employment obligations.
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical abilities.
  • Current driver’s licence.
Desirable:
  • Experience with redundancy, superannuation or long service leave schemes.
  • Knowledge of SA industrial instruments in construction.
  • Finance, law, accounting, business, or compliance qualifications.
  • White Card (or willingness to obtain).
Why Apply?
  • Make a meaningful impact in an organisation that protects workers’ entitlements.
  • Mix of office work and on‑site engagement for real variety.
  • Join a small, supportive, values‑driven team.
  • Competitive salary package, including vehicle.
  • Stable and long‑standing organisation with strong industry presence.
