Are you an experienced Accountant looking for long-term stability where you can genuinely make an impact? Join this well-established construction business with a strong reputation and a steady pipeline of work, offering you the chance to become a valued part of the team for years to come. Working closely with senior leadership, you will play an important role in supporting business performance, financial decision-making and operational success. This hands-on position offers exposure across the full finance function and is ideal if you enjoy variety, take ownership of your work and value being closely involved in the day-to-day operations of the business. With the flexibility of either a full-time arrangement or a potential four-day working week, or even school hours, this role provides an excellent balance between responsibility and lifestyle.

Reporting directly to the Company Director, your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the general ledger, reconciliations and financial record maintenance.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, including month-end and year-end processes.
  • Coordinate accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, ensuring supplier payments and customer collections are managed effectively.
  • Deliver weekly payroll processing for up to 50 employees through MYOB and maintain employee records.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow monitoring and financial analysis.
  • Drive continuous improvement across financial controls, reporting processes and audit support activities.

To be successful, you will bring previous experience in a general accounting position, ideally within the construction, trades, manufacturing, transport, logistics or broader blue-collar sectors. A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience, will be highly regarded. You will also have a sound understanding of Australian GST, BAS and taxation requirements, experience using MYOB, Xero or similar accounting systems, and strong Excel skills.

If you are an Accountant who values stability and looking for a role where you can build lasting relationships, become a trusted member of the team and contribute to a business's long-term success, we would love to hear from you. APPLY NOW. For a confidential discussion, please contact Bianca Luck on 02 8270 9725 or Thulani Tokwe on 02 8270 9736. We will treat all applications and discussions with the strictest confidence.
