About the role
The Glass Cutter will play a pivotal role in producing quality flat glass products to specification. This position offers an opportunity to influence production processes while ensuring high standards of quality and safety.
Key responsibilities
- Produce quality flat glass products to specification.
- Ensure glass thickness and type are correct.
- Ensure glass adheres to quality standards and is free from faults prior to processing.
- Cut glass using machines or hand cutting, as required, in accordance with customer specifications.
- Measure and mark glass prior to processing, and conduct final measures before stacking.
- Smooth edges using hand and belt wipe where required.
- Operate various production machinery to cut, treat, and smooth glass.
- Maintain an organised, clean, and safe working environment.
Skills & experience
- Proven experience in glass cutting and processing.
- Strong capability in operating production machinery relevant to glass processing.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain quality standards and ensure safety protocols.
