About the role
A newly created opportunity exists for an experienced HR Manager to assume a key leadership position in a 6-month temporary role, with the potential for extension. Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, this role will transform and modernise the people operations function for this innovative digital health organisation. Leading a team of six, you will drive operational excellence through systems optimisation and the implementation of digital service delivery, while building robust employee relations advisory capabilities within the organisation. This role combines technical expertise in HR systems with strategic capability to deliver scalable, data-driven people solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and uplift People & Culture operations, combining ER advisory leadership with systems and process transformation projects
- Provide senior ER oversight and coaching to a team of HR Advisors, ensuring sound judgement and best-practice frameworks
- Drive people technology optimisation, using data and system outputs to inform decisions and improve workflows
- Streamline end-to-end processes, reducing manual administration and enhancing efficiency across the employee lifecycle
- Leverage data, analytics, and emerging AI capabilities to modernise the people function and create a scalable service offering
- Act as a hands-on leader and trusted advisor, partnering with senior stakeholders through change.
Skills & experience
- Proven experience in senior HR operations, with strong hands-on capability across HRIS platforms, including optimisation and data integrity
- Strong capability in managing complex employee relations and investigations, with an emphasis on risk identification and coaching
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop HR and Talent teams, balancing operational delivery with change management
- A systems and process mindset, utilising data and analytics to enhance people processes and improve efficiency
- Proven interest in modernising people operations through technology, automation, and AI, with relevant tertiary qualifications.
