HR Manager


  • HR Manager -  L&D/OD focus 
  • 12 month contract with potential extension
  • Upto $155k + super
 
Join a rapidly growing organisation dedicated to supporting a vital sector. In this key role, you’ll review and enhance L&D and leadership capability frameworks to strengthen organisational performance during a period of growth and reform. You’ll also lead a small HR team, manage complex casework, and coach leaders to drive best-practice people outcomes.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic HR leadership across people, culture, and workplace initiatives, fostering an inclusive, high-performance environment aligned with organisational values.
  • Partner with senior leaders to design and implement HR strategies, policies, and frameworks that support business goals, drive engagement, and ensure compliance with legislation and enterprise agreements.
  • Lead change management and organisational development projects, including communications, consultation, and stakeholder engagement to embed new initiatives effectively.
  • Oversee employee relations matters, including performance management, grievances, and workplace investigations, ensuring fair, consistent, and compliant outcomes.
  • Drive learning and development, leadership capability, and wellbeing programs, including policy implementation, training delivery, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analyse workforce data, culture survey results, and emerging HR trends to inform strategy, provide insights to leadership, and guide ongoing enhancements to people practices.
 
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Brings a strong background in Learning and Development alongside broad HR experience, ideally gained across both government and corporate environments.
  • Demonstrated success designing, developing, and delivering comprehensive L&D frameworks and programs that enhance leadership capability and organisational performance.
  • Proven ability to guide, coach, and mentor leaders and employees in applying HR best practice, fostering engagement, and building a positive, high-performing workplace culture.
  • Extensive experience across HR strategy and operations, including employee relations, policy development, and compliance, with strong communication and problem-solving skills to manage complex people matters effectively.
