Sydney CBD | Up to $115,000 + super | Hybrid working
We're partnering with an established professional services organisation is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join its Sydney team during an important period of growth and change.
Supporting a workforce of approximately 120 employees across Sydney and offshore, this is a broad generalist position with significant autonomy. You will partner closely with senior leaders while managing two HR team members and taking responsibility for the delivery of HR initiatives across the employee lifecycle.
The Role
- Working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team
- Providing practical HR advice and recommendations to senior leaders and managers
- Supporting workforce planning, organisational design and change initiatives
- Managing and developing two HR team members
- Managing employee relations matters including performance, grievances and disciplinary processes
- Overseeing recruitment, onboarding, induction and offboarding
- Coordinating performance and career development processes
- Supporting succession planning and talent development initiatives
- Coordinating remuneration benchmarking, salary reviews and bonus processes
- Developing employee engagement, retention and recognition initiatives
- Identifying learning and development needs and coordinating appropriate programs
- Providing people insights to support headcount, structure and workforce decisions
- Ensuring HR policies and practices remain aligned with relevant employment legislation
- Working with interstate and group HR stakeholders to improve and standardise people processes
About You
You will be an experienced HR generalist who is comfortable balancing business partnering with hands-on delivery.
You will bring:
- Previous experience as an HR Business Partner, HR Advisor or similar broad generalist role
- Strong employee relations and performance management experience
- Confidence partnering with senior stakeholders and providing practical HR advice
- Experience across recruitment, performance, remuneration and employee engagement
- Exposure to organisational change and workforce planning
- Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation
- Previous experience supervising or developing junior HR team members will be highly regarded
- A pragmatic, resilient and commercially minded approach
- The ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment
Experience within professional services, accounting, financial services, legal or another commercially driven environment will be advantageous but is not essential.
