About the role
The Import Operations Coordinator will play a vital role in managing international shipments, ensuring efficient and compliant delivery. This position offers the opportunity to engage with various stakeholders, including overseas agents, customs brokers, and internal teams, to facilitate smooth operations. You will report directly to the Director of Operations, contributing to the organisation's success through effective communication and process management.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate international freight movements across air, sea, and road transport
- Liaise with warehouse staff, customs brokers, drivers, and senior management
- Ensure accurate reporting and compliance throughout the shipping process
- Manage client communication and invoicing efficiently
- Organise cartage via approved suppliers
- Support all aspects of operations, including reporting and sales analysis
Skills & experience
- Proven experience in a similar role within the Australian freight forwarding market
- Strong capability in using Cargowise or similar software
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Professional attitude with a focus on detail and accuracy
