International Sales Representative
A well-established, design-led organisation with an international footprint is seeking an International Sales Representative to help grow its presence in the United States market. This role combines hands-on market development with strong follow-through and customer engagement from New Zealand.
Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the Role
This is a varied, relationship-led sales role focused on building momentum in the US through regular in-market presence and strong ongoing support between trips. You’ll work closely with agents, showrooms, designers and specifiers, representing a premium product range across commercial and residential projects. When not travelling, you’ll be Auckland-based, maintaining relationships, progressing leads, and ensuring a seamless experience for US customers across time zones.
Ngā kawenga | Key Responsibilities
- Build and grow relationships with US-based agents, showrooms, designers and specifiers
- Develop market presence and revenue across assigned US territories
- Deliver product presentations, training sessions and collection launches
- Identify and convert new opportunities through proactive relationship building
- Progress and follow up qualified sales leads through to conversion
- Ensure brand and product representation is consistent across partner environments
- Collaborate closely with internal sales, customer service and operations teams
- Provide market insights, feedback and reporting to support ongoing strategy
- Base salary in the $80k–$100k range, depending on experience
- Annual business-wide profit-linked bonus (not guaranteed)
- Significant international exposure with extended time in the US market
- Auckland-based role with variety, autonomy and clear impact
- Opportunity to build deep industry relationships in a design-led environment
- Experience or strong exposure to specification-led or design-related industries (e.g. textiles, interiors, furnishings, apparel, architecture or building products)
- Proven success in relationship-driven B2B sales or market development roles
- Comfortable engaging with multiple stakeholders across long sales cycles
- Strong organisation and follow-through, including sales administration and CRM use
- Confident communicator who presents professionally across diverse audiences
- Able to work flexibly across time zones and travel internationally for extended periods
