IT Support Officer – Windows 11 Migration Project

$50 - $65ph + super based on experience

Looking for a short‑term contract where you can hit the ground running? We’re seeking an experienced IT Support Officer to assist with a Windows 11 migration project based onsite in Murarrie. This is a hands‑on role supporting readiness, deployment, and end‑user assistance throughout the rollout.

About the Role
In this 6‑week project, you will support the technical team with Windows 11 readiness checks, deployment preparation, user migration, and onsite support. You’ll play an important part in ensuring a smooth transition for staff as the organisation moves to Windows 11.

Duties will include:

Conduct Windows 11 readiness and hardware compatibility checks (TPM 2.0, Secure Boot)
Support OS deployment using Intune and Autopilot
Migrate user profiles and data, including OneDrive Known Folder Move
Assist with rollout coordination and deployment activities
Provide onsite support to end users during and post‑migration
Troubleshoot OS, driver, hardware, and application issues
Maintain accurate documentation and deployment guides
Work closely with the technical team and communicate clearly with users

About you

Experience delivering Windows 11 migration or similar OS upgrade projects
Strong knowledge of Windows 11, Office 365, and general hardware requirements
Skilled in profile migration and data transition methods
Confident troubleshooting imaging issues, driver conflicts, and system errors
Strong communication and documentation skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a project team
