Key Account Manager
Please note: The successful candidate must be able to obtain a Defence Security Clearance.
The Opportunity
We’re partnering with a client who is a well-established technology solutions provider that works alongside leading global IT hardware vendors to support a portfolio of enterprise and government customers across Australia
Reporting to Sales Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of key customer accounts, focusing on relationship management, account growth and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
You will work closely with stakeholders across a range of organisations, helping them navigate technology requirements while identifying opportunities to expand existing partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders
- Deliver responsive, high-quality customer service across your account portfolio
- Identify and develop new opportunities within existing customer accounts
- Prepare quotations, proposals and tender submissions
- Manage sales opportunities from qualification through to successful close
- Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline activity and account updates
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful customer outcomes
- Build broader networks and strengthen engagement across customer organisations
About You
To be successful, you will bring:
- Previous experience managing and growing existing customer accounts
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- A proactive, commercially minded approach
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A genuine interest in technology and business solutions
- Knowledge of leading technology vendors and enterprise technology solutions
MUST HAVE EITHER: Experience working with Government or Defence customers OR Exposure to IT infrastructure, hardware, software or managed services
