The Role


An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Assistant to join the firm’s Medical Negligence team on a permanent basis.


In this role, you will provide high-level support to the team, including direct support at Partner level, ensuring the smooth running of a busy practice. This is a varied and fast-paced role where you will play a key part in keeping matters moving and providing exceptional administrative and client support.



Your responsibilities will include



  • Preparing, formatting and proofreading legal correspondence, court documents and briefs

  • Assisting with the management of complex litigation files and medical negligence claims

  • Diary management, meeting coordination and organising travel arrangements

  • Monitoring court deadlines, preparing court bundles and maintaining document filing systems

  • Assisting with billing processes, including timesheets and monthly invoicing

  • Providing general administrative support to the broader team as required



About You


You are an experienced Legal Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being a reliable and proactive member of a legal team.



  • Previous experience supporting litigation, insurance or commercial law teams

  • Experience supporting at Partner level or senior stakeholders

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong document formatting skills

  • The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
