Legal Finance Manager
This well-established law firm has an urgent need for a Legal Finance Manager to step in and take ownership of the finance function, ensuring continuity during a transition period. This is a hands-on contract role where you’ll take full ownership of the day-to-day finance function during a period of change.
What you’ll be doing
- Managing trust accounts (daily reconciliations + compliance)
- Processing payments, receipting, and transactions
- Overseeing cashflow and basic financial reporting
- Supporting month-end processes
- Assisting with fortnightly payroll (40 staff) during transition
About you
- Proven experience in a law firm environment or professional services business
- Strong understanding of trust accounting
- Confident system skills, working across Xero
- Hands-on, adaptable, and able to hit the ground running
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment

- Immediate start
- Initial 6-week contract with potential to extend
- Office-based initially, with flexibility once settled
