Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the Role

This role sits at the intersection of technical leadership and people management, overseeing a team of maintenance professionals across a busy production site. You’ll be responsible for ensuring plant performance, leading daily operations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Working closely with production and engineering stakeholders, you’ll play a critical role in prioritising work, resolving issues, and building a high-performing, engaged team.

Ngā kawenga | Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team of maintenance technicians to deliver strong performance outcomes
Oversee daily maintenance operations, including prioritisation of breakdowns and planned work
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency
Collaborate with production teams to align maintenance activities with operational needs
Manage maintenance planning, resource allocation, and workflow coordination
Support budgeting, cost control, and contractor management
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.

Experience leading maintenance teams in a manufacturing or production environment
Strong understanding of plant operations and production equipment
Proven ability to manage performance, develop people, and build team capability
Experience with maintenance planning, prioritisation, and continuous improvement
Commercial awareness, including exposure to budgeting or cost management.
