This role sits at the intersection of technical leadership and people management, overseeing a team of maintenance professionals across a busy production site. You’ll be responsible for ensuring plant performance, leading daily operations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Working closely with production and engineering stakeholders, you’ll play a critical role in prioritising work, resolving issues, and building a high-performing, engaged team.
Ngā kawenga | Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of maintenance technicians to deliver strong performance outcomes
- Oversee daily maintenance operations, including prioritisation of breakdowns and planned work
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency
- Collaborate with production teams to align maintenance activities with operational needs
- Manage maintenance planning, resource allocation, and workflow coordination
- Support budgeting, cost control, and contractor management
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.

- Experience leading maintenance teams in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong understanding of plant operations and production equipment
- Proven ability to manage performance, develop people, and build team capability
- Experience with maintenance planning, prioritisation, and continuous improvement
- Commercial awareness, including exposure to budgeting or cost management.
