As a Junior Payroll Officer, you will play an important role in supporting the payroll function, ensuring employees and contractors are paid accurately and on time. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, your responsibilities will include
  • Coordinate the processing of weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls
  • Maintain payroll records and employee information within payroll systems
  • Respond to payroll-related enquiries from employees, contractors and internal stakeholders
  • Assist with payroll reconciliations and reporting activities
  • Support compliance with payroll legislation, awards, superannuation and taxation requirements
  • Partner with the wider finance and operations teams to ensure accurate payroll administration
To be successful, you will bring
  • 1-2 years' experience in payroll, accounts administration, accounts payable, accounts receivable or a related finance support role
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The motivation to learn, take initiative and develop a long-term career in payroll
