Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the Role
This role sits within a collaborative finance function, focused initially on outsourced Australian payroll before expanding into broader payroll responsibilities across ANZ. You’ll manage multiple payroll cycles, work across different client requirements, and gain exposure to complex payroll environments including modern awards and EBAs. It’s a great opportunity for someone looking to deepen their payroll expertise and build a long-term career in a high-growth setting. You will be based from our Frog Recruitment office in Auckland.
Ngā kawenga | Key Responsibilities
- Process end-to-end payroll across multiple clients and pay cycles
- Review and validate timesheet data to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Interpret modern awards and EBAs to apply correct pay conditions
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure timely submission of payroll inputs
- Manage payroll queries and provide accurate, timely resolutions
- Support payroll reconciliations, invoicing, and reporting requirements
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and statutory obligations
- Maintain accurate payroll records and contribute to process improvements

- Experience processing Australian payroll in a hands-on capacity
- Understanding of payroll legislation, modern awards, and EBAs
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines
- Confident working across multiple payroll cycles and stakeholders
- Systems exposure such as Employment Hero, Xero, or similar (advantageous)
- A proactive, reliable approach with a strong work ethic
