people2people are partnering with a well-established organisation to find an experienced Payroll Officer to support a large workforce across Australia and New Zealand. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where no two days look the same, this could be a great fit.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll take ownership of weekly payroll processing across ANZ, making sure employees are paid accurately and on time, every time.
On any given day, you’ll be:
- Running end-to-end weekly payroll across Australia and New Zealand
- Managing onboarding, terminations, and employee updates in the system
- Reconciling payroll data (super, PAYG, STP, KiwiSaver) and resolving discrepancies
- Processing journals and preparing payroll payment files
- Interpreting awards and EBAs to ensure correct pay outcomes
- Responding to payroll queries and working closely with HR and Finance
- Keeping employee records accurate and audit-ready
- Supporting EOFY activities and contributing to smoother, more efficient processes
What you’ll bring
- Experience in high-volume ANZ payroll
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance
- Confidence working with payroll and time and attendance systems (Micropay, UKG, Kronos a bonus)
- A sharp eye for detail and a problem-solving mindset
- Strong communication skills, you will be the go-to for payroll queries
